announcement.
I forgot about this little lettered gem, created for the birth announcement of another little gem born last fall.
Abraham Lincoln!
Fun font news! My first font, Abraham Lincoln, is now available for download/purchase from Lost Type Co-op! It's been amazing to see this little president from sketches to real life, & I'm glad to finally share him with you all.
Blood Ball Teaser
Another project for Student Communication, the Blood Ball is a masquerade ball-type event that happens every February. More to come on this project!
Call for Work Poster
I'm presently employed by Columbia College's Office of Student Communications. It's an amazing office to work for and I get fun projects. This Call for Work poster came to me as a lengthy word document of required information and left as a pretty little typographic exploration.
artnog: Abide
I'm grateful to have participated in the second ArtNog, a You Are Loved gallery + event that I contributed to last year. I got going on this year's piece in early November, which was completely necessary since I decided to embroider twelve tea towels. More pictures and words are available for your perusal here. Thanks to all who came out...it's been a delight!

Grillz
A contribution to my friend Jillian Barthold's zine BearBook. The first issue's theme was teeth. Hurray for fun projects and silly lettering.
Patrick Somerville
This poster is from the Spring 2011 Silver Tongue series, so not spectacularly recent, but I felt like it was worth mentioning since the only direction I received was: "Use this picture of the author in an astronaut suit."
Wicker Park Children's Carnival
Creating the promotional materials for the 2011 Wicker Park Children's Carnival was a dream. The parameters were pretty loose, so I made a pattern out of the hippest tastes of summer and did a bit of lettering. Thanks to Missio Dei for such a fun project!
This Too Shall Pass
This poster was created for the Say Something Poster Project competition and gallery show. We were given the opportunity to use poster design to inspire, motivate and educate teenagers, which was a bit intimidating. I decided my ultimate goal was to communicate hope and combined detailed images of textures to create a composite of the phrase "this too shall pass."
Due to the support of incredibly kind people, this poster was selected as one of the 25 semi-finalists in the project's innaugural show. Many thanks for voting & encouraging!
lynda tutorials poster
Some of our tuition dollars go to support resources like lynda.com, and this poster was designed to raise awareness for access.
